Did you read the latest issue of Rue Magazine? They featured Aiala Hernando, an amazingly talented food stylist, recipe developer, culinary educator and consultant. Oh, did I mention she also works as a Creative Director for San Sebastian Food? This accomplished creative genius shares her tips on how to take the perfect photo for every dish.
These tips could NOT have come at a better time! With my new job, I’ve been taking a lot of photos for our ads. In Rue Magazine, Aiala shared her tips on food photography:
With her tips and lots and lots of practice, I am hopeful we can all take a picture that “makes you want to eat a dish just by looking at it on a piece of paper or screen.” She also teaches food styling classes in NYC and London. I can’t wait till she has a class out here in San Francisco!
What are your favorite tips when it comes to taking a mouthwatering photo of food?
