Mondays are strange isn’t it? It never fails to amaze me how quiet everyone is and exhausted everyone looks. They have their eyes glued to their emails while sipping their third cup of coffee waiting for that caffeine to kick in. No one dares to make direct eye contact. It’s just a Monday morning after all. We are not ready to dish about our weekend just yet. You dive into your work and day dream about a vacation. For all you dreamers out there, let’s dream away together in my new series called, { monday escapes }.
In { monday escapes }, I’ll share photos from my past trips as well as my dream vacations. I’d love to hear about your experiences and memories at these vacation spots. So without further ado, let’s get started. Today, we are traveling to… CANCUN!

I went to Cancun to celebrate my birthday last May. We were excited to stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun and loved every minute of our stay. The staff was so incredibly kind and the service was, of course, flawless. It was my first trip as a grown-up to Mexico so was definitely excited. We landed at the airport right after Spring Break madness swept by so was pleasantly surprised to have the gorgeous beach all to myself and my friends.

Waking up in the morning is a breeze when you wake up to this!

The color of the water and the sand are so beautiful! Couldn’t imagine a better place to sip some cocktails from a coconut (yes, let’s treat ourselves. We are on vacation after all!) and soak in the sun.

One of the most memorable part of the trip was the dinner at the Casitas. These casitas are turned into dining areas late in the afternoon and you can rent them out for a truly romantic dinner. I can’t think of anything more delightful than a delicious dinner, cool sand beneath your toes, ocean breeze flowing through your hair and the sound of waves gently crashing on to the sand. This is why Cancun is my {Monday Escape}!
Where would you like to escape to this Monday?
